 About Us  

The Colorado Black Caucus of School Board Directors is a dedicated group of individuals committed to advancing the interests of Black students, educators, and families within the state.

Our Black Caucus Goals & Impact. 

The primary purposes of this organization are to promote and advance equitable educational access and opportunities for students of Black or African descent and to improve collaboration among all Colorado school board members, their communities, political leaders, local school boards associations, key stakeholders, and tribal education communities.

Breaking  Barriers

 Provide education and information to members and interested parties on unique challenges and opportunities faced by students of Black or African descent throughout the country.

Bridging  The Gap

Provide leadership by encouraging the most desirable and effective communication between school board members, local school boards, communities, and national and state board associations relating to students of Black or African descent.

Advocating  For  Equity

Promote school district, county, and state legislation to improve educational opportunities and reduce racial disparities of students of Black or African descent in public schools.

Fostering  Success

Study the development and academic achievement of all youth with special consideration of the unique needs of students of Black or African descent within public schools.

Collaborating   For   Excellence

Provide leadership and a foundation to school board members for student educational opportunities through collaboration to foster excellence and equity in public education.

Joining   The Conversation

Engage actively in statewide dialogue on educational problems, issues, and concerns in conjunction with national organizations committed to the continued growth and development of students of Black or African descent.
